Director of Technical Accounting

They offer a competitive benefits package that includes PTO, health/dental/vision insurance, flexible spending, 401K with match, stock purchase plan, etc. This role offers bonuses and equity, is hybrid and at least 50% remote, with occasional meetings in the office.Duties:* Manage the review of new accounting pronouncements and provide technical accounting advice* Evaluate disclosure requirements for complex accounting transactions for the 10-Q/10-K and related footnotes* Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures for SEC/GAAP or SOX 404 changes/needs* Maintain the SOX compliance framework and ensure SOX program is executed effectively* Be the point of contact for external auditors regarding technical accounting matters* Prepare and present technical accounting documentation and analyses as required during audits* Conduct research on emerging accounting standards* Supervise the outsourced Internal Audit and SOX consultantsRequirements* A CPA with 8-10 years of relevant experience in public accounting, or a combination of public accounting and industry experience in internal audit or technical accounting in a publicly traded company* Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting and SEC reporting requirements* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and interpersonal skills* Proficiency in Accounting software and ERP systems; Blackline is a plus; SAP S4 Hana a plus* Prior experience in Bio-tech, pharma or life sciences a plusJob TypeDirect HireCompensation185000 - $190000
