Staff Accountant

Jobologi is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for handling both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate processing, timely reporting, and effective communication with vendors and customers. You will assist with the company's day-to-day financial operations by handling invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and supporting overall financial accuracy.

Accounts Receivable

  • Maintain accounts receivable ledger and member accounts
  • Update and audit daily revenue dues, point-of-sale, banquet sales, and other events
  • Process member monthly billings, payments, billing inquiries and statements
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers on overdue payments
Accounts Payable
  • Accurately enter and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies
  • Process timely payments to vendors while maintaining good relationships with suppliers
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues
General Ledger
  • Perform Accounting functions and assist with month-end close process
  • Assist with detail reconciliations and journal entries for general ledger
  • Perform Ad-hoc reports and financial analysis on various accounts
  • Prepare documents for external auditors for year-end audit
  • Assist in other accounting duties and projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered, 1 or more years accounting experience preferred, will consider recent graduate
  • Previous Hospitality experience is highly desired
  • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role, with a focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Reliable and responsible character, with follow up and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work independently
  • Excellent communication skills for both vendor and customer interactions
