Job Notes: PEDS exp required Client Notes: 172 beds, Level II Trauma, Teaching Hospital. The only trauma center in Monterey County, as well as many other surrounding communities. Voted “Best Hospital in Salinas Valley” (out of 3 hospitals) by Salinas Valley Reader’s Choice - 2022 Specialty Profile Notes Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cardiac sonographer, with a minimum of 6 months of experience with pediatric studies. Will be conducting adult and pediatric cardiac studies in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Pediatrics will be 25% of the volume of studies; the sonographer will be scheduled for 7 studies in an 8-hour shift. There will not be any fetal heart monitoring. Requirements: RDCS issued by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, RCS issued by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or RCCS issued by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) are required and BLS issued through American Heart Association Scrubs: Any color of professional scrubs. No other facility logos are permitted. Charting: MediTech EMR Equipment: Philips Epiq 7 Shifts: Varied 8-hour days. Will be required to take calls, which is typically every other weekend. Call may vary depending on the needs of the department. Orientation: Flexible to start any day of the week. Will start in Human Resources and complete paperwork and obtain a badge, next onto Occupational Health for a respiratory fit test, and then to the department to complete department-specific orientation to equipment and processes prior to being scheduled with their own patients. Will receive two orientation shifts in the department prior to being scheduled for their own studies.
