Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for receiving products into the warehouse by unloading trucks using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks, or by hand. You will ensure that shipments are received in good condition and are accurate by inspecting freight for damage, verifying quantities, and completing necessary paperwork. The use of an RF scanner is essential in this process. Additionally, you will be responsible for stock replenishment, order picking, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive products into the warehouse by unloading trucks using a forklift, pallet-jack, electric pallet-jack, or by hand.
• Ensure shipments received are in good condition and accurate by inspecting freight for damage, verifying quantity ordered versus quantity received, checking all shipments against packing lists, and completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.
• Utilize RF scanners for receiving and stocking (put-a-way) products.
• Replenish stock by re-stocking picking stock, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, storing pallets in racks, checking for product mixing, and rotating product as needed.
• Fill customer orders by picking products using RF scanners, ensuring accuracy by scanning barcodes, and placing/packing products into cartons or onto pallets for damage-free shipment.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by participating in system-directed or user-directed cycle counts, manually counting selected inventory items, and inputting correct counts into the RF Warehouse Management System.
• Service customers at the Will Call Counter by providing friendly, accurate, and prompt order fulfillment.
• Resolve problems or issues by working cooperatively and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain and exceed department standards for accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Experience with RF scanners.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience with pallet jacks.
• Forklift operation experience (sit-down forklift preferred but not required).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Inventory management experience.

Work Environment

Shift hours are either 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The role is based in a warehouse environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
