Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

to join our leadership team and oversee all financial operations for the synagogue and schools. This vital role ensures the financial health of our community and supports our mission to sustain a sacred, thriving congregation. Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the Business Office team, actively managing all aspects of the organization’s finances and employee benefits. Oversee financial processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, utilizing Sage 50 as the accounting software. Manage Human Resources and payroll functions, including the use of Paycom for payroll processing. Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports to ensure insight and transparency. Develop, monitor, and manage the organization’s $12M+ annual operating budget. Track and oversee the organization’s $20M+ endowments. Coordinate and manage institutional insurance policies. Collaborate with external auditors to complete the annual audit. Serve as a key point of contact for synagogue and school families regarding financial matters, including membership records maintained in ShulCloud and school information managed through FACTS. Report directly to the Executive Director, working closely to achieve the congregation’s strategic goals. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; CPA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in a nonprofit or faith-based setting. Strong knowledge of financial systems, budget management, and endowment oversight. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range:
