We are seeking a technically adept individual with a strong analytical mindset to join our growing team as an Actuarial Data Scientist. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing our pricing models to increase model accuracy and drive profitability for our shareholders, our partners, and our customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and modeling skills and will thrive working in a collaborative environment alongside talented colleagues to collectively tackle challenging problems. What You’ll Do: Develop and refine statistical and machine learning models to enhance pricing accuracy. Track and monitor model performance in production. Explore, test, and recommend new models and algorithms to continuously improve pricing strategy. Identify emerging risk indicators in our portfolio and provide actionable insights and recommendations. Collaborate with the internal data team to enhance the data platform for improved future decision making. Create clear documentation to help understanding and facilitate adoption of our pricing models by our insurance carrier partners. What You’ll Bring: BS in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field. ACAS or FCAS with 5+ years of actuarial experience required, preferably in a pricing role. Proficiency in SQL and statistical programming languages such as Python or R. Proven experience using GLM/GAM models in pricing P&C actuarial products. Familiar with data visualization tools software such as Power BI, Tableau, Shiny, or Streamlit. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
