WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Boat Attendant is responsible for providing all Members and guests with a safe and pleasant environment within which to utilize the Club’s watercraft equipment. This will be accomplished through the regular monitoring and maintenance of watercraft equipment, management of equipment rentals, and enforcement of Club and safety policies.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

The Boat Attendant must complete all tasks and assignments assigned by the Beach Club Manager and/or Aquatics Supervisors, including but not limited to:

  • Set-up all watercraft equipment at start of day, ensuring all equipment is available and accessible for Members and guests
  • Communicate proper use techniques of all watercraft equipment to all Members and guests
  • Maintain equipment logbook, ensuring proper use documentation in accordance with team and Club policies
  • Enforce all safety and Club policies, including proper use of watercraft equipment
  • Manage equipment rentals, assuring availability and maintaining proper documentation and records
  • Secure and store all watercraft equipment safely at end of day
  • New York State Boating Safety Certificate
  • Must have ability to swim
  • Knowledge of CPR and First Aid procedures a plus
  • Must be 16 years of age or older, and 17 years of age or older to operate motor boat
  • Prior experience with kayaks, paddle boards, Hobie Cat and/or Sunfish strongly preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members, management team, Members and guests
  • Must be able to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Must present professional appearance and attitude at all times, maintaining a high level of member service
  • Must have ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
  • Must have ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
  • Must adhere to all WCC guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Working primarily on and around beachfront area, including within watercrafts.

PAY RANGE

$16.50 hourly compensation
