Experienced in Janitorial Duties. 2. Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license. 3. Must have a twelfth grade reading level. Reports To/Supervised By: Facilities Engineer Responsibilities: 1. Clean rooms, kitchens, lavatories, drinking fountains, corridors, stairway, windows and other spaces by dusting, sweeping, washing, set mopping, waxing, and using other approved cleaning techniques. 2. Collect and dispose of trash. Separate recycled office paper and corrugated cardboard, put in designated containers. 3. Operate equipment provided by the school to properly maintain the building and grounds including grass mowing and snow removal. 4. Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and driveways, apply ice melt as required. Replace light bulbs in assigned areas. Custodial employees will not be utilized to change light bulbs at a height greater than ten (10) feet off of floor level. Do touch-up painting with a brush on walls and door/window frames less than 10 ft. high. Perform room set-up for various occasions. Empty rag containers on a daily basis. Secondary/Related Responsibilities: 1. Notify Supervisor/Facilities Engineer in writing of any necessary repairs or malfunctions on a daily basis. 2. Check doors, windows, gates in designated areas to make sure they are secured. 3. Report any heating and air conditioning that is running after hours. 4.
