Reporting to the Associate Director for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), the Program Officer for Training supports the work of the CQI team through the coordination of all training activities across Global Refuge RIS programming. The Program Officer for Training will work closely across RIS units and with the Associate Director for CQI to review trainings, set matrices, and enhance and improve program outcomes. This position requires attention to detail, excellent organization and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

DUTIES
- Review and ensure trainings have purpose, goals, and objectives, trainings are interactive, utilizing adult learning principles, experiential education practices, feedback is provided systematically for every training event and incorporated into improvement efforts.
- Create and disseminate an annual network-wide training calendar that provides monthly opportunities for collaborative learning and engagement between Global Refuge and the network.
- Manage Global Refuge's Learning Management System and current tools and resources on its extranet Global Refuge Connect.
- Map the current professional development opportunities and build new opportunities for staff.
- Contribute to the completion of federal reports, with input from other colleagues.
- Ability to conduct remote and in-person technical assistance visits.
- Represent Global Refuge during meetings and convenings and liaise with external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in training facilitation, quality improvement activities, or social services programs.
- In-depth knowledge of domestic refugee resettlement issues, Department of State (PRM) and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) systems, and related refugee resettlement programs, stakeholders, emerging trends, etc.
- Experience working with refugees, immigrants or limited English speakers in a case management capacity strongly preferred.
- Experience in developing and providing support, technical assistance, and content-related training to partner agencies, service providers, and/or internal staff.
- Ability to evaluate data to identify trends and foresee programmatic implications.
- Proven ability to be flexible in a fast-paced working environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact well with all levels of various systems, stakeholders, and staff.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, knowledge in database management, web-based platforms, and other computer applications.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details.
- Ability to accept change and be flexible; focusing on action and outcomes.
- Deep commitment to Global Refuge's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
- Ability and willingness to travel 15% of time.
