Role Overview:
As a Senior RF Hardware Engineer, you will lead and motivate a talented team while engaging in hands-on design, analysis, verification, and validation of RF, Analog, and Digital Circuits. You will leverage your troubleshooting skills on printed circuit boards, utilizing advanced test instrumentation to verify and validate key performance metrics such as S-Parameters, P1dB, Noise Figure, Channel Power, and EVM measurements. Your deep knowledge of the PCB Design Process—including Schematic Capture, PCB Layout, Fabrication, and Assembly—will be crucial in driving technical milestones and project success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in circuit design, electronics testing, schematic capture, and PCB layout design.
- Expertise with electronic design tools including Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, and Altium Designer; strong capability in RF Cascades, Link Budgets, and Noise Analysis.
- Demonstrated success as a hands-on technical leader, adept at guiding teams to meet challenging objectives and deliver complex RF hardware projects, inspiring a high-performing work environment.
- 3+ years of experience with Altium Designer, including Schematic Capture and PCB layout; deep understanding of onboard isolation, signal integrity, and power integrity considerations.
- Familiarity with essential test instruments: Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer; experience with Low Noise Amplifiers, Power Amplifiers, Mixers, ADCs/DACs, Phase Locked Loops, Oscillators, and Filters.
- Solid understanding of critical concepts and measurements including S-Parameters, P1dB, Noise Figure, OIP3, and Noise Figure.
- Proficient in creating test plans and procedures for ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) and Product/Component Qualification Campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to solder components on a printed circuit board, including SMT components such as size 0402, and QFN Packages.
- Experience with GNU Radio, USRP's, Digital Signal Processing, Antenna Design, Antenna Simulations, and Antenna Measurements in both near-field and far-field environments.
