Job Description:

Reporting to the VP of Innovation & Tech Services, the Contract Administrator will ensure the effective management of contracts, accounts payable, general administrative tasks, and support of the Growth and Innovation Group. Additionally, this role undertakes SOX compliance auditing of vendors for the entire SSR Mining corporate office. This role is essential for maintaining contract and purchasing compliance, streamlining administrative processes, and facilitating smooth organizational functions.

The Day to Day:

Contract Management:
  • Preparation of documentation (T&C's, NDA's, etc) for Consultancy, Professional Services, and Services Contracts.
  • Solicitation of quotations from consultants and service providers for new project, study works, and technical support proposals.
  • Commercial contractual evaluation of tenders and proposals, including coordinating the technical evaluation of tenders by relevant discipline technical personnel.
  • Commercial review for SOX compliance of major vendors in contract with the SSR Mining corporate office.
  • Preparation of recommendation for award documentation & facilitation of the award recommendation approvals process.
  • Creation and conforming of contracts and variation documentation.
  • Maintenance of Contract Management reference systems (i.e. SAP, Contract Management Systems, etc.), capturing all Instructions, Variations, Claims, Insurance Certificates, Sureties and other potential scope, cost/time impacting items.
  • Creation and ownership of process to gain all relevant procurement information from contract owner for SAP purchase requisition, purchase order and invoice payment process.
  • Execution of effective post award contract administration in conjunction with other departmental personnel, all in accordance with company administration and AP procedures.
  • Prompt and accurate processing of contract variations, extension of time claims, monthly progress claims, attending, chairing and minuting of progress meetings.
  • Maintain an organized contract database for tracking renewal, termination, and key milestones.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve contract-related queries or disputes.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance with agreed terms including the preparation of reports on contract statuses and performance metrics.
Administrative Support:
  • Assist in preparing documentation, presentations, internal company communications and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist team members in maintaining VivaGoals so it remains a productive and efficient tool.
  • Conduct regular audits of administrative processes and contracts to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Handle data entry, filing, and document retrieval as required.
Is this you?
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), SAP, and Database.
  • Basic understanding of legal terminology and frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • +5 years' experience in contract administrative roles, preferably with an EPCM contract firm.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in contract drafting and management tools.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and discretion.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability in handling evolving organizational needs.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • May involve occasional travel for contract negotiations or administrative duties.


For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $80,000-$95,000. Benefits: 401(k); medical/dental/vision insurance; employee share purchase plan, PTO, and STI.
