Job Description:

Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for a Senior Manager, Physician Recruitment to join our team in Lexington, KY. This position is considered a hybrid role with some travel required.

The goal is to support the strategic and operational objectives of the system by recruiting top-quality physician talent to meet community and service line needs for Baptist Health Medical Group.

The Senior Manager, Physician Recruiting will oversee the full scope of recruitment initiatives, extend offers of employment, review compensation packages, and serve as the primary point for contract negotiations with new physicians. Maintaining knowledge of the BHMG Board-approved compensation models, BHMG physician employment agreements, and the contracting process is essential.

The primary goal is to ensure that physicians are recruited to the most appropriate market opportunity for the communities served by Baptist Health, which requires awareness of physician recruiting needs system-wide.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Timely, organized, and complete candidate, leadership, and stakeholder communication
  • Candidate lead generation and sourcing
  • Full life-cycle recruitment, including site visit coordination
  • Participation in job fairs and conferences
  • Development and maintenance of relationships with residency and fellowship programs
  • Industry knowledge and understanding of specific market dynamics
  • Utilization of applicant tracking system and customer relationship management tools; knowledge of social media and internet recruiting resources
  • Professional reference validations and development of competitive compensation packages
  • Budget development, management, and monitoring
  • Mentorship, training, and management of staff

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Healthcare or Business-related field; MBA/MHA strongly preferred. Equivalent and relevant experience may be used to offset some educational requirements.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility with physician recruitment and/or alignment strategy within a multi-hospital health system strongly preferred. Experience should include working with physician leaders, hospital administrators, medical group governance, and fiscal accountability in progressively responsible managerial and/or consulting positions.
  • Fellowship certification by Association Staff Physician Recruiters (FASPR) strongly preferred.
