Accounting Specialist
General Summary
As an Accounting Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining a AISIN Manufacturing's financial records by accurately recording transactions, processing payments, reconciling accounts, generating financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Cash Management: monitor funds daily, prepare and set up wires/ ACH's on BTMU banking website, ensure all wire and ACH payments in Oracle, issue weekly checks, check reconciliation.
- Fixed Assets: enter and maintain all records in FAS, run depreciation routines in FAS and upload to oracle, schedule and manage Fixed Asset and Inventory procedures quarterly.
- Inventory: Semi Annual Production and MRO Inventory, reconciliation of Inventory to General Ledger, PPV/IPV product group coding analysis.
- Accounts Receivable: perform daily tasks of releasing invoices, create and issue manual invoices, control customer invoices and accounts receivable balance for given customers, record and analyze monthly sales results.
- General: prepare and post various general ledger journal entries with supporting details and schedules, furnish data to manufacturing advisors, assistant managers, and managers, investigate unusual items found in general ledger,
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly, prepare/assist with monthly financial forecasts,
Skills & Abilities Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for use with both internal and external contacts
- Understanding of GAAP principles
- Ability to understand impact of finance on other departments
- Capable of being innovative at improving job methods and productivity
- Apply problem solving and analytical skills
Minimum Level of Preparation and Training
- A Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field is required with 5 years of experience.
- A Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
