WorkComp360 has partnered with a Manufacturing Company in Garden Grove, CA and is currently hiring a Manufacturing Technician to join their team.
Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician’s role is to create, maintain and develop the accuracy of job travelers/routers. The job traveler/router provides production team members with the necessary operations, sequences, tasks and components required to complete an order.
Duties / Responsibilities:
• Transfers sales and engineering instruction to traveler/routers upon review of work order picking slip and sales order form. • Ensures correct raw material, components (dimensions and type) and outside processes (if any) are outlined on traveler/routers based on accompanying work order documents: Quote (estimates) and part(s) schematics. • Reports order discrepancies to immediate supervisor, sales, and/or relevant departments. • Interprets information compiled in estimates, quotes, and part schematics. • Communicates with key departments of non-recurring procedures to facilitate production. • Assists quality management with inspection (inbound and outbound) duties based on production demand. • Inputs labor times of new and complete fabricated parts with information provided from production management. • Management reserves the right to assign other job-related duties deemed necessary for efficient and effective shipping operations.

Skills/Abilities:
The Manufacturing Technician must have attention to detail, great communication skills, both written and verbal. They must be able to collect, manage and analyze data, as well as solve problems. He or she must be organized, show good judgement and decision-making abilities.
Work Experience and/or Education:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent • 2-5 years of manufacturing experience
Physical Demands:
• Position may require employee to be available to work extra hours, including possible weekend, depending on the Company and customer needs. • While performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Psychological Demands:
Strong psychological stamina to work under pressure to meet deadlines without omissions or errors • Interface productively with all employees, customers and contractors.
Working Conditions:
• Manufacturing environment, utilizing many manufacturing machines. The manufacturing environment can be noisy with varying degrees of temperature that are normally hot in the summer and cold in the winter. These areas are not temperature controlled. • The position may sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time depending on the task being performed. • This position is mostly an office setting but does include being exposed to the manufacturing environment. • Interface productively with all employees, customers and contractors.
