Job Description

This is a full-time position working M-F, 4pm-12:30am. The starting pay for this position is $14.50 per hour. Weekly earned wages are an option for this position.

Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will ensure the cleanliness of assigned facilities to ensure the safety, health and high morale of guests and associates with minimal interference to others. You will report to Facilities and Maintenance Management.

Primary Tasks:
  • You will perform responsibilities including vacuuming, mopping, window washing, restroom cleaning, trash removal, polishing of metal work, and office cleaning.
  • Follow approved cleaning practices with proper chemicals within SDS guidelines.
  • Stock housekeeping supplies when delivered, keep closets stocked and organized.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
  • Prolonged walking, lifting, or moving of objects.
  • Cleaning and disposal of biohazard material according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines.
  • Answer and direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department.
  • Expected to immediately clean or correct problem areas and report emergencies and maintenance needs to supervisor.
  • May be required to drive a Tribal vehicle from one Tribal facility to another to perform assigned duties.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned by management

Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge in the use of housekeeping/cleaning equipment and chemicals as it relates to Safety Data Sheets
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and chemical labels
  • Understand government public health and, or safety regulations/requirements
  • Prior Environmental Services, Housekeeping experience

Immediately clean or correct problem areas. Report emergences and maintenance needs to supervisor. Have additional responsibilities as assigned within scope and competency of the associate. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED required Knowledge in the use of housekeeping/cleaning equipment and chemicals as it relates to SDS Understand government public health and, or safety regulations Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience
