Position Summary:

The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management (VP-RCM) is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and financial oversight of KVC's revenue cycle functions, ensuring the organization achieves optimal cash flow, reduces bad debt, and improves financial outcomes. The VP-RCM works collaboratively with internal departments, such as Finance, Utilization Review, and Admissions, and maintains strong relationships with external billing vendors and payers. This role drives process improvements, ensures compliance with regulations, and utilizes innovative solutions to meet and exceed organizational goals. The VP-RCM is a trusted leader, recognized for excellent technical expertise, management skills, and interpersonal effectiveness to support KVC's mission, vision, and goals. Schedule:

Bachelor's degree in business administration or healthcare management from an accredited college or university Experience:

10+ years of progressive management experience in revenue cycle leadership role Minimum 7 years of management experience working in a healthcare organization Qualifications:

Strategic Leadership and Oversight

Provide leadership and guidance to the Revenue Cycle Management team, fostering collaboration and alignment with organizational objectives. Manage and oversee all revenue cycle functions, including inpatient and outpatient services, billing, claims, and collections. Define and monitor revenue cycle performance goals and metrics to achieve operational success and maximize financial outcomes. Evaluate billing vendor performance and collaborate to implement process improvements. Work with Finance, Utilization Review, and Admissions to improve payment collection processes and ensure timely reimbursement. Develop and maintain long-term plans to support cash flow benchmarks and reduce bad debt. Performance and Process Improvement

Analyze revenue cycle productivity metrics (e.g., accounts receivable aging, clean claim rate, denial rate) and implement corrective action plans when needed. Conduct needs assessments and introduce innovations, such as AI, to improve operational efficiency and outcomes. Collaborate with IT and EHR teams to enhance billing functionality and reporting capabilities. Develop denial management processes to eliminate root causes and optimize revenue cycle performance. Monitor compliance with healthcare billing regulations, laws, and industry best practices, implementing necessary changes as needed. Education and Reporting

Conduct education and training for staff on revenue opportunities, billing laws, and reimbursement strategies. Provide regular productivity and performance reporting, using data to drive operational improvements. Monitor and report payer trends, recommend action plans, and resolve credentialing or enrollment issues. Develop written communications and provide email follow-up on behalf of KVC. Operational Management Ensure the day-to-day management of revenue cycle staff, focusing on optimal performance and adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Maintain processes for timely billing and claims adjudication, meeting monthly cash flow goals. Recommend audit standards for billing processes and oversee corrective actions when results deviate from targets. Behavioral Expectations:
