This role involves traveling to different locations to assist in diagnosing and treating diseases using nuclear medicine techniques. Key Responsibilities: Prepare Radioactive Materials: Safely prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, following strict safety protocols. Perform Imaging Procedures: Operate specialized equipment such as gamma cameras to capture detailed images of the body’s organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Patient Care: Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns. Monitor patients during the procedure for safety and comfort. Data Analysis: Process images and data for interpretation by physicians, ensuring accuracy in capturing diagnostic information. Safety Compliance: Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, colleagues, and self from unnecessary exposure, maintaining proper documentation of radioactive materials. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order for accurate imaging results.
