Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer

Location: Richmond, VA

Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a Senior Level Controls Engineer to lead and manage IMACS' Richmond Branch. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in the industry, and should be proficient in programming SCADA, PLCs, and OITs. In addition, the candidate should have experience with a wide range of industrial instrumentation and its integration in process controls.

Responsibilities:

Design, program, and commission industrial control systems
Develop PLC and HMI programs for control systems
Configure and integrate SCADA systems with PLC and HMI systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with industrial control systems
Run projects from start to finish, completing them on time and within budget
Experience with control panel fabrication and design

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering, or Equivalent Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial controls engineering
Proficient in programming SCADA, PLCs, and HMIs
Experience with the following predominant Industrial Control system PLC, SCADA, and HMI software:

• Rockwell Automation Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View SE, FactoryTalk Historian, RSLogix 5000, and Connected Components Workbench
• Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, and WinCC OA
• Schneider Electric Unity Pro, Vijeo Designer, GeoScada and Citect SCADA
• GE, iFIX
• VTSCADA experience a plus

Experience with a wide variety of industrial instrumentation including but not limited to:

• Temperature controllers
• Pressure transducers
• Flow meters
• Level sensors

Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
AutoCAD Proficiency
