Position Summary:
As a Public Relations Specialist, you will be an integral member of our marketing team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive public relations strategy that aligns with the company's overall brand and growth objectives. You will oversee all public relations activities and initiatives, from media outreach to event coordination, to amplify our brand voice and ensure a consistent and positive public perception. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a proactive mindset and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Media Relations and Outreach
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers across print, digital, and broadcast media.
  • Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and pitch story ideas to secure positive coverage.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate interviews, press briefings, and editorial meetings.
  • Strategic Communications
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute a robust PR strategy that aligns with the company's brand and business goals.
    • Draft and edit high-quality content, including press releases, thought leadership articles, blog posts, speeches, and social media messaging.
    • Craft messaging for external communications that resonates with key audiences and reflects the brand voice.
  • Reputation Management and Crisis Communications
    • Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, providing timely reports and insights to senior management.
    • Develop crisis communication plans and handle sensitive issues with professionalism to protect and maintain the company's reputation.
  • Event Coordination and Community Engagement
    • Plan and coordinate public-facing events, such as press conferences, brand activations, and community initiatives, to strengthen brand visibility.
    • Manage event logistics, including coordination with stakeholders, partners, and media representatives.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Track and analyze PR campaign performance metrics (e.g., media impressions, engagement levels) and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
    • Maintain a media contact database and create regular status reports on PR activities and outcomes.
  • Trend Monitoring and Thought Leadership
    • Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging public relations tools and technologies.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for the company to contribute thought leadership content in relevant industry publications and events.
    Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing experience with press releases, media placements, and PR campaign results.
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different platforms and audiences.
    • Experience working with media outlets.
    • Familiarity with media monitoring tools, PR software, and content management systems.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Creative problem-solver with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Previous experience working in an agency or corporate PR environment.
    • Familiarity with public relations in the finance, technology, or real estate sectors (or relevant industry).
    • Proficiency in managing social media campaigns or working with influencers as part of PR efforts.
