Job Notes Client Notes 172 bed, Level II Trauma, Teaching Hospital. The only Trauma Center in Monterey County, as well as many other surrounding communities. Voted “Best Hospital in Salinas Valley” (out of 3 hospitals) by Salinas Valley Reader’s Choice - 2022

Department Notes 10 bed unit, with average patient census of 7 patients. Trauma and MICU patient population. VERY high acuity patients, 1:2 ratio. Level 2 Trauma Hospital that does not transfer out any trauma patients unless they are pediatric. Charge RN available on unit that does not take a patient assignment and Rapid Response Team based in this unit that is available as a resource and does not take a patient assignment. No CNA assistance available on this unit.

Specialty Profile Notes Minimum 3 years experience working in ICU setting, MUST have TRAUMA and NEURO experience in order to be considered for this position. Requirements: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California, BLS and ACLS issued through American Heart Association, NIHSS certification Travelers will not be assigned the CRRT patients—those typically are assigned to staff. Will float to IMC and Tele as needed. Shifts: 6:45AM-7:15PM and 6:45PM-7:15AM, will work every other weekend

Charting: Meditech. WOWs are provided to each RN for charting; Medication Administration: Pyxis; IV Pumps: Solaris Scrubs: Any color of professional scrubs. No other facility logos permitted.

Orientation: Will accommodate start any day of the week. Will start in Human Resources and complete paperwork and obtain badge, next onto Occupational Health for Respiratory Fit Test and then will meet with Nursing Education to complete appropriate testing for their unit. All RNs will take a medication test the first day. After testing, will go to the unit to finish their shift with a Clinical Preceptor. ICU will provide three orientation shifts to the department, including one shift on IMC unit. About Radixsol
