Description of Job
What you'll be doing: This entry-level position exists within the Financial Reporting & Analysis Unit. Position develops reports and completes a range of statistical and data analyses of claim data in the main data warehouse to support the Division's supplemental payments. Position uses database software made available by the Department and descriptive statistical techniques to extract, manage, analyze, and summarize Medicaid claims data and other data that may be available. Understands and interprets written materials, including technical materials, business requirements, rules, regulations, reports, charts, graphs, or tables. Documents all analyses in the format required by Section standard operating procedure.
Experience only
Four years of professional experience in data science, data analytics, business analytics, economics, mathematics, statistics, Health information management or a closely related field of study.
OR
Education Only Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Mathematics, Statistics, Applied statistics, Economics, Health Information Management, Data Analysis/Science or in a field of study related to the work assignment. (an un-related degree will count for 2 years of experience.)
Education and Experience
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to four (4) years
