As we grow, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team and oversee financial operations across our diverse business units.

Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the accounting operations of Hard Truth Distilling Co. This includes maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of GAAP, and the ability to oversee financial processes for production, hospitality, and tourism operations.

Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting Operations Management:

• Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.

2. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to leadership, highlighting trends and recommendations.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the development and management of budgets for the distillery, restaurant, tour center, and Airbnb.
• Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.

4. Compliance and Internal Controls:

• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.

5. Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development and a collaborative work environment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial processes and goals.

6. Strategic Support:

• Assist leadership in evaluating new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making across production, hospitality, and tourism operations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.

· Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

· Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software; experience with distillery or hospitality-specific systems is a plus.

· Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

· Familiarity with the spirits industry, hospitality management, or tourism.

· Experience in cost accounting and inventory management.

· Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analytics tools.
