POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Alutiiq Career Ventures, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has openings for Target Language Subject Matter Expert (TL SME). The TL SMEs report directly to the TL Lead SME and will be responsible to exercise expert communications to build trust and working relationships within AAC's established communications protocol.
Develops the TL content used throughout the course. Specifically:
Reviews of Authentic Materials identified for courseware development
Develops checks on learning activities used throughout the courseware
Provides first level quality assurance proofreading developed materials
Ensures that deadlines for the development of TL content are met
Exercises expert communication skills to manage conflict within program and escalate pressing issues to the Senior TL SME
Provides TLEN Translations as needed
Works with other TL team members
Reports progress to Senior TL SME, as well as noting any issues or deficiencies
Meets with Senior TL SME regularly
Provides peer reviews for QA control to ensure that all developed TL materials are proofread, peer-reviewed, appropriate and complete
Payrate: $33.00 to $50.00 Hourly
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Native-level TL Fluency
AA/AAS Degree or equivalent experience in field relevant to assigned program
Curriculum Development Experience
High Degree of English Fluency
ENTL Translation Experience
Thorough Understanding of Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Levels
Understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS Educational or TL-based Degree
3+ years of experience developing TL educational content
