Recruit Talent: Drive the recruitment process to attract top talent for our team.

Onboard New Hires: Ensure a smooth, welcoming integration for new employees into the company.

Serve as Employee Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for employees, managing conflict resolution, addressing grievances, and fostering a positive work environment aligned with the company’s values.

Manage Benefits and Payroll: Administer employee benefits programs and accurate payroll processing.

Implement HR Policies: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support our business objectives.

Ensure Legal Compliance: Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Coach Managers and Employees: Guide managers and employees to complete HR processes on time, offering day-to-day performance management support, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.

Training and Development: Assess and identify training needs to support business growth and current processes. Facilitate opportunities for team members to upskill and align with business objectives. Lead organizational change by implementing personal and professional development programs that foster growth at all levels.

Employee Engagement and Retention: Work closely with management to strengthen work relationships, enhance morale, and boost productivity and retention through engagement programs.

Data Analysis and Decision Support: Conduct and analyze HR and financial data—including employee surveys, exit interviews, and compensation metrics—to inform strategic decisions, ensure financial alignment, and enhance organizational efficiency.

The Human Resource Generalist at Hansen & Company Woodworks involves supporting a dynamic, growth-oriented team known for crafting Multi Unit Caseworks and Architectural Millwork tailored to luxury commercial spaces. Based in Central Minnesota, Hansen & Company is a rapidly expanding manufacturer with an exciting future, moving toward 1st of its kind automation at its new “HCo 2.0” Factory—a cutting-edge facility that will be 1st of its kind in North America.

The HR role would encompass talent development, employee engagement, and compliance with employment regulations, working closely with management to foster a supportive and productive environment that aligns with Hansen’s dedication to quality and efficiency in their manufacturing processes. The position would also involve using data analysis to enhance decision-making and operational performance, contributing to Hansen & Company’s commitment to both employee satisfaction and organizational excellence.

ESSENTIALS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of human resources experience.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and effectively.
  • Working Knowledge of State HR-related laws & regulations.
  • Manufacturing/construction or similar industry experience is preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
