Job Title: Journeyman Electrician – North Slope 3x3 Rotation

Location: North Slope – Depart from Anchorage, AK

Reports to: Electrical Superintendent

Salary Range: $55 - $65 Hourly

Housing / Food: Provided while on rotation.

Important:

This project will begin on or around 2 January, 2024. It will involve an initial rotation of 3 – 4 weeks. Work on the slope will consist of 7 – 12 Hour days. You must possess a current Alaska FIT Journeyman / Apprentice Card (If you are an apprentice, you must be registered with ABC of Alaska).

UOSS will provide transportation from Anchorage to the slope and back. You are responsible for your own transportation to Anchorage.

To be a successful addition to our team, it is important that individuals are self-motivated, able to take direction, have good communication, and constantly strive to improve. We are looking for individuals who are knowledgeable in all areas of installation and repair. The applicant will need to be able to diagnose and repair complex systems with minimal supervision. They also need to be able to properly communicate technical information to customers in a friendly and helpful manner. A valid driver's license and prior experience in the field are required for consideration.

What You Will Need (minimum qualifications):

• Possess a current and valid certification as an Alaska Journeyman Electrician.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Eligibility for employment is contingent upon passing a drug screening.
• Possesses the necessary license or identification card to meet all local, state, and government regulations.
• Installs electrical wiring, conduit/cable equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and construction of electrical equipment and systems found in a residential/commercial setting through the proper use of standard cable wire, conduit, fittings, and hardware commonly used in settings.
• Reads and understands conduit drawings, schematics, electrical drawings, and specifications.
• Uses and cares for tools and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.
• Complies with all safety and the applicable safety handbook, leads, and educates fellow employees in the safe work ethics, practices, and behaviors.
