Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
We are seeking a dedicated Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at a leading federally qualified health center. In this role, you will provide crucial pediatric mental health care to underserved communities, working in a highly collaborative environment. This position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, with a strong focus on professional growth, clinical development, and teamwork. Ideal candidates will be energetic, compassionate, and committed to clinical excellence and outstanding patient care.
Salary: $300,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, clinical social workers, and other psychiatrists.
- Participate in weekly team case conference meetings and peer supervision to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
- Engage in professional development activities, including 20% clinical development hours to enhance practice skills.
- Encourage and support patients and their families, providing treatments tailored to their unique needs.
- Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to community health by participating in outreach and education efforts within the community.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- MD License required.
- Board Eligible in Child Psychiatry by the start date.
- Proven dedication to providing empathetic and effective patient care.
- Strong communications skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be flexible and possess a positive attitude towards challenges and change.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in outpatient settings is highly valued.
- Experience with underserved populations is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a clinical setting.
- Ability to innovate and implement new treatment protocols.
- Fluency in more than one language; especially languages prevalent in the local community.
