Assist in the implementation of the health care plan and management of neonatal patients by performing diagnostic and therapeutic tasks as defined by the neonatologists.
Job Description
This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) N&I_ in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. (statement must be included for all positions that require regular patient contact)
Education/Training/Experience: (indicate if required or preferred)
Master's Degree in Nursing and graduate of accredited program for neonatal nurse practitioner and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification required. Experience working in a level 3 NICU attending high risk deliveries, and will have training and experience commensurate with the expectations of the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics.
Licenses/Certifications: (indicate if required or preferred)
State license for nurse practitioner required. It is required that he/she will maintain a current Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Pennsylvania state license certified by applicable certifying bodies and maintain certification in NRP. Employment is contingent upon clinical privileges granted by the AEMC Board of Trustees and an unrestricted license to practice in Pennsylvania.
