Gregory Construction is hiring: Operator, Experienced Heavy Equipment in Boydton

We are looking for Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. We seek someone with a “CAN DO” attitude who will work with their team to perform the following duties:

1. Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials using trucks, power cranes, shovels, or related equipment.
2. Operate machines to spread, smooth, and level materials on road beds or other job sites as needed.
3. Observe grade in order to adjust machine settings and indicate.
4. Conduct documented pre-shift inspections of equipment for safety and mechanical defects.
5. Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and outside for extended periods during all seasons of the year.
6. Coordinate machine actions in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
7. Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment using mechanics' hand tools.
8. Know and follow safety regulations.
9. Perform necessary work while complying with all company policies and procedures.
10. Perform additional duties as required or directed by their immediate supervisor or other manager.

Experience:

5 years (Required) in the civil construction industry
5 years (Required) verifiable experience in equipment operations.

Requirements:

Driver’s License
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (including but not limited to drug screen and background check).
