Litigation Associate

Job Overview: A renowned global law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-4 years of commercial litigation experience to join its San Diego office. The firm offers an opportunity to work on a broad range of business and commercial litigation matters, including banking and financial institutions, business disputes, and real estate. The ideal candidate will have a background in trial/arbitration, as well as experience in complex litigation motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions. Candidates will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects while working effectively within a collaborative team. Duties: Manage and handle commercial litigation matters, including banking, financial institutions, business disputes, and real estate. Experience in consumer protection class action matters is a plus. Draft, file, and argue motions such as summary judgment motions, motions to dismiss, and complex discovery motions. Take and defend depositions. Participate in trial and arbitration proceedings. Collaborate with the team on legal strategies and case management. Maintain high standards of communication with clients and colleagues. Requirements: 3-4 years of commercial litigation experience. Experience in banking and financial institutions, business disputes, and real estate. Trial and arbitration experience. Experience with depositions and drafting litigation motions. Ability to take ownership of projects and work effectively within a team. Excellent written and verbal communication, research, and analytical skills. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Admitted to the California Bar. Skills: Expertise in drafting and arguing complex motions. Experience with depositions, trial, and arbitration. Solid organizational and project management skills. Excellent writing, communication, research, and analytical abilities.
