Salary: $90-115k base salary (flexible/based on experience) + bonus + full comprehensive benefits

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and optimize their CNC machining processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives in their manufacturing operations. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and the ability to manage multiple projects, improve machinery efficiency, and drive operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. CNC Machining Optimization: Set up, program, and improve 2, 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines to maximize efficiency and output. Ensure machinery uptime by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly. Develop and implement CNC programs for new and existing products.
  2. Operational Efficiency: Drive spindle uptime and efficiency on the shop floor. Identify and execute process improvements to enhance production flow, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Prioritize machinery maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  3. Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor shop floor personnel to ensure adherence to quality and production standards. Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Coordinate with machinery, tooling, and support personnel to meet production goals.
  4. Project Management: Manage multiple manufacturing and assembly improvement projects simultaneously. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that align with business objectives.
  5. Design and Development: Design and optimize fixtures, jigs, and tooling to improve manufacturing processes. Support new product introductions by developing and refining production methods.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high-precision environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, and CAD/CAM software. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively. Hands-on experience designing and optimizing fixtures, jigs, and tooling. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
