Salary: $90-115k base salary (flexible/based on experience) + bonus + full comprehensive benefits
Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and optimize their CNC machining processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives in their manufacturing operations. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and the ability to manage multiple projects, improve machinery efficiency, and drive operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- CNC Machining Optimization: Set up, program, and improve 2, 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines to maximize efficiency and output. Ensure machinery uptime by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly. Develop and implement CNC programs for new and existing products.
- Operational Efficiency: Drive spindle uptime and efficiency on the shop floor. Identify and execute process improvements to enhance production flow, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Prioritize machinery maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor shop floor personnel to ensure adherence to quality and production standards. Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Coordinate with machinery, tooling, and support personnel to meet production goals.
- Project Management: Manage multiple manufacturing and assembly improvement projects simultaneously. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that align with business objectives.
- Design and Development: Design and optimize fixtures, jigs, and tooling to improve manufacturing processes. Support new product introductions by developing and refining production methods.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high-precision environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, and CAD/CAM software. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively. Hands-on experience designing and optimizing fixtures, jigs, and tooling. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
