Job Description / Essential Elements:
Drive bus on designated routes, maintaining good order among students in accordance with district policies. Maintain required records.
Minimum qualifications: Successful completion of District pre-employment requirements.
Possession of a valid Class B California driver's license and school bus driver certificate.
Physical demands: This type of work involves sitting most of the time, but will involve walking or standing for brief periods. Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate bus related equipment, and handle and work with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.
Desired Qualifications: Previous experience in similar position. Mechanical knowledge of diesel and gas powered equipment.
Environment: The majority of th work hours will be spent driving the school bus. Inspections and bus readiness will be completed in the office or outside.
