CUSTODIAN JOB DESCRIPTION For Greensboro, NC Airport

CORG Management Group (CORG) is looking for a part-time custodian to work at the Greensboro International Airport in the TSA common areas.

CORG will offer a part-time position, Monday-Friday. May occasionally require weekend work as backup.

Basic Functions and Responsibility

The custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. Their duties include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant, and emptying trash cans or recycling bins.

Responsibilities may include:

1. Cleaning office areas with different types of flooring - linoleum, tile, and carpet.
2. Shampooing rugs and carpets.
3. Emptying all trash receptacles and removing items marked "Trash" appropriately.
4. Sweeping and dust mopping all hard surface floors and spot vacuuming carpets.
5. Sweeping and damp mopping or scrubbing restrooms.
6. Cleaning all toilet fixtures and replenishing toilet supplies.
7. Striping and waxing floors.
8. Disinfecting bathrooms and high-touch areas.
9. Disinfecting tables, countertops, sinks, and all fixtures.
10. Disinfecting the outside surfaces of all appliances.
11. Cleaning interior windows and mirrors.
12. Maintaining a thorough inventory.
13. Using equipment, including commercial vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
14. Collecting and taking out trash and recycling.
15. Wiping down all solid, high-contact surfaces in common and high-traffic areas.
16. Wiping down agency-owned equipment such as telephones and computers (the responsibility of each building occupant).

Requirements and Skills:

1. High school degree or equivalent.
2. Self-starter and able to work well without constant supervision.
3. Must be able to pass a security background check.
4. May require standing and lifting up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
5. Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
6. Able to use basic cleaning equipment.
