This position is for a full-time, 12-month, unclassified staff position.


Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree required.
  • Three (3) years of professional work experience working with the public and using computer software, such as Excel and/or Word.
  • College recruiting experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
  • Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be capable of sitting in a stationary position for 50% or more of the time.

This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of all recruiting activities, maintaining a database using a variety of software and systems, providing assistance with recruiting events, and promoting the College through presentations and tours.

  • Maintain network database of prospective student contacts.
  • Maintain data tracking system/communication plans.
  • Assist in creating and implementing email recruitment plans and campaigns.
  • Maintain communication with prospective students via phone, email, and social media.
  • Maintain communication with prospective students and area high schools, businesses, etc.
  • Assist with follow-up correspondence to all prospective student contacts.
  • Schedule, coordinate and conduct campus visits – individual and group.
  • Speak and communicate with prospective students thoroughly and effectively at classroom presentations, community events, and campus visits.
  • Attend annual high school career days/nights and provide information, brochures, videos, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Assist in coordinating recruiting efforts with all departments of the College.
  • Communicate with high school counselors promoting upcoming events on BPCC Campus.
  • Assist in planning and implementation of events such as College Transfer Day (fall/spring) and Cavalier Preview Night (fall/spring).
  • Attend conferences/meetings related to the enhancement of the recruiting process.
  • Serve on various college committees as assigned.
  • Assist Enrollment Management leadership with development and implementation of other projects as needed.
  • Travel within the College service area to attend recruiting opportunities, sometimes using personal vehicle.
  • Position requires evening, weekend work, and travel.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
