Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Psychiatrist to the Behavioral Health group at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. North Central Bronx is a 457-bed community hospital providing quality care in a friendly setting. This facility provides a range of services, and is known for its outstanding Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, Primary Care, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Specialty Ambulatory services. The department of Psychiatry has 3 Adult Inpatient Units, a satellite CPEP, a Psychiatry Consultation Liaison service, a Partial Hospital Program, an Outpatient Department, and an ACT team.

Responsibilities:

• The attending will have overall responsibility and work with an experienced multidisciplinary clinical staff to provide hands-on direct clinical assessment, diagnosis, acute stabilization and management, crisis intervention and care, and appropriate disposition for a cohort of geriatric inpatients.
• The attending will have responsibility for clinical and educational activities on a 23-bed acute Geriatric/adult inpatient unit, including participation in a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Direct supervision of Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychiatric PA staff, and Medical Students.
• Participation in all activities related to clinical care and documentation of care, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and student supervision, education & training.
• Participate in our innovative integrative care activities.

Qualifications:

• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry.
• Completion of an approved Psychiatry residency training program.
• MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
• License to practice medicine in the State of NY.

Wages and Benefits include:

• Annual Base Salary: $255,900* (board eligible); $266,200* (board certified) based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
