The requirement is as follows:

Job title: Hardware Test Engineer

Duration: 12+ months

Summary:

Responsible for testing prototype development systems, peripherals and/or pre-released software for compatibility and functionality by performing test cases. Works from developed test plans and/or written or verbal instructions. Executes Automotive Test and documents findings.

Description:

1. Constructs, troubleshoots, and tests prototype assemblies.
2. Assists engineers in the test phase of prototype systems and/or pre-released software.
3. Sets up, configures, and tests hardware and software products; performs specified test cases and clearly documents results.
4. Conducts functional testing and analysis of newly developed products to ensure operation and reliability.
5. Assembles and disassembles test configurations; learns new technologies and procedures to remain current with industry standards and new products.

Responsibilities:

1. Accountable for producing test results for a significant part of the product prototype systems and/or pre-released software.
2. Actively participates in the test case development process and identifies actual or potential problems in test plans or company products.
3. Debugs and manages the debugging process to ensure the descriptions, configuration, and the test results meet the needs of the development team.
4. Remains current with industry trends and standards.

Must Have Experience In:

1. 2 plus years strong understanding of hardware and software system architecture.
2. 2 plus years strong understanding of hardware and software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues.
