A health services network in Connecticut is currently seeking a licensed Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their growing team in Fairfield County.
About the Opportunity:

- Setting: Inpatient

The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will:
- Evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of children and adolescents
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose and identify mental health disorders
- Develop personalized treatment plans for each patient based on their diagnosis, including therapeutic interventions and medications if necessary
- Consider the individual needs, developmental stage, and family dynamics of each patient
- Prescribe and monitor the use of psychotropic medications when indicated, such as antidepressants, mood stabilizers, or antipsychotic medications
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to children and adolescents, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, family therapy, play therapy, and other evidence-based approaches
- Handle crisis situations, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, or acute psychiatric emergencies
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication prescriptions
- Performing other duties, as needed
- Licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut
- Board Eligible / Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Experience in an Inpatient and/or Outpatient role/setting
