Description:
This position reports directly to the Facilities Director. The custodian is responsible for general care, cleaning, and minor maintenance of the buildings, grounds, and equipment on campus. Train student employees.

Qualifications:
Custodian Qualifications / Skills:

1. Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
2. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours
3. Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time
4. Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions
5. Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals
6. Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules
7. Communication skills
8. Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at particular heights

Education and Experience Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Basic math skills
3. Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite, Google)

Part-time position: 20-25 hours per week.
