Pediatric Neurologist - Clinically Based

The Department of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine is seeking outstanding pediatric neurologists to join the Section of Pediatric Neurology. Serving the Connecticut Shoreline from New York to New London, our Section provides state-of-the-art services spanning multiple subspecialty areas in Pediatric Neurology. Our physicians and trainees are supported by a dedicated nursing staff, clinical psychologists, social workers, and administrative assistants. The Section of Pediatric Neurology currently has 11 faculty members and 2 APRNs, and is undergoing rapid expansion and diversification as part of a robust strategic plan to achieve greater clinical-academic excellence and impact. The Section also has a fully accredited Pediatric Neurology Residency Training Program with two residents per year. Leading programs include multidisciplinary clinics in neuro-oncology, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, movement disorders, epilepsy, neuro-immunology, fetal and neonatal neurology, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and headaches. Pediatric Neurology service has been consistently recognized by US News and World Report for clinical excellence and academic impact. Finally, our Pediatric Neurologists have secondary appointments in the Department of Neurology (as well as other academic Departments) and benefit from strong interactions and collaborations with our adult colleagues.

Qualifications
The successful applicant will be appointed at a Yale Medical School rank commensurate with their level of qualifications and experience on the Clinical Track. Requirements include a record of providing exceptional patient care, an MD or DO degree; eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Connecticut; and board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. Furthermore, while completion of a subspecialty fellowship is not a requirement, special consideration will be given to candidates who have a strong background and/or formal training in areas such as headache/migraine, epilepsy, neurogenetics, neuro-immunology and neurocritical care.
To be eligible for university sponsorship of an H1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
