Job Title: Accounting Manager / Controller
HYBRID: 4/WFH - 1 (IN-Office)

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations & Policy Development:

  • Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive accounting manual to standardize financial processes and internal controls across the company.
  • Ensure strict compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies, safeguarding financial integrity.
  • Oversee the general ledger, financial close process, and reconciliations, ensuring all financials are accurate and complete.
  • Establish, enhance, and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures for optimal financial performance.

Leadership in System & Process Improvements:

  • Spearhead accounting system upgrades, implement new payment systems, and drive innovative projects that boost efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Identify and integrate best practices for financial operations, with a focus on automating workflows to streamline processes.

Financial Reporting & Budgeting:

  • Take charge of the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with broader company goals and strategies.
  • Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses, offering critical insights to senior management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, offering data-driven financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Compliance & Technical Accounting:

  • Ensure full compliance with GAAP and tax reporting requirements, keeping the company in line with all financial regulations.
  • Research, document, and implement accounting policies to keep the company at the forefront of industry best practices.
  • Coordinate tax reporting and compliance efforts, working with external partners to ensure all filings are timely and accurate.

Team Management:

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, ongoing training, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Previous experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or a large, complex organization is highly preferred.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and leading teams to success.
Salary range: 120k - 135k
