JOB SUMMARY

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will take part in the design and fabrication of our AirSCWO systems. This will require you to develop a thorough understanding of 374Water’s AirSCWO process and contribute to its continual improvement.

You will be part of a growing engineering team and will work directly with 374Water’s fabrication team, equipment suppliers, and AirSCWO system end-users.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  1. Design and develop new products and product mock-ups alongside the engineering team.
  2. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
  3. Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process.
  4. Perform value engineering.
  5. Contribute to P&IDs, PFD’s, 3D design models, and fabrication drawings.
  6. Assist the fabrication team during construction of our AirSCWO systems.
  7. Create technical documentation.
  8. Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems.

WHO YOU ARE

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field.
  2. AAS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering will be considered.
  3. 3+ years' experience as a manufacturing, mechanical engineer, or equivalent.
  4. Proven work experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role.
  5. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, CNC milling, CNC pipe bending, press brake.
  6. Familiarity with quality assurance techniques.
  7. Proficient in CAM software.
  8. Proficient in CAD software, preferably Solidworks.
  9. Problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and creativity.
  10. Knowledgeable about pressure vessel codes and standards a plus.
  11. Some knowledge of material science and metallurgy.
  12. Experience in water/wastewater industry and/or hydrothermal operations or other relevant engineering a plus.
  13. Hands-on experience with tinkering around valves, instrumentation, pumps, in an industrial or laboratory environment, but not required.

  7. Willingness and ability to travel to client, partner, and event locations as needed. Expected travel is less than 10%.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. This position requires close vision and dexterity with fingers.
  2. This position may require an individual to sit for long periods of time using a computer, stand, and move about the facility.
  3. Ability to lift 40 lbs.
