We specialize in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, treating a wide range of skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, and more. Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Physician Assistant with a strong interest in dermatology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and a passion for dermatology. As a PA at our practice, you will work alongside board-certified dermatologists to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of dermatological conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your expertise in dermatology and make a meaningful impact on our patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and skin examinations.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and more.
- Assist in performing minor dermatological procedures, such as biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy.
- Provide patient education on skincare, preventive measures, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with dermatologists to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., skin cultures, biopsy results, lab work).
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dermatology through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Strong clinical skills and interest in dermatology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care in a dermatology setting.
- One year Dermatology experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in dermatology or a dermatology-focused rotation during PA training.
- Familiarity with dermatology-specific procedures and treatments.
- Experience using EMR systems (e.g., [list your EMR system]).
