Piper Companies is hiring: Sr. Data Analyst in Durham

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to join an award-winning, technology-driven insurance company located in Durham, NC through a hybrid work schedule. The Sr. Data Analyst will work with business leaders and teams to improve processes, establish KPIs, guide analysts, manage projects, and become a system expert, using SQL, PowerBI, R or Python, SSIS, and ETL.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Data Analyst include:

• Collaborate with business leaders and users to uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Lead dynamic discussions with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and address pain points.
• Establish impactful KPIs to measure and enhance business effectiveness.
• Guide a team of analysts and associates in processing valuable information.
• Design process flows for business procedures and identify enhancements through system updates.
• Juggle multiple projects and expertly manage the issue backlog.
• Master assigned systems and maintain clear communication with end users.

Qualifications for the Sr. Data Analyst include:

• Master SQL and PowerBI: Ability to demonstrate skills with analytical SQL, including stored procedures, views, and SSIS for ETL processes
• Experience with R or Python
• Data Analyst experience within an IT department
• Insurance experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Must work onsite 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) in Durham, NC
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Compensation for the Sr. Data Analyst include:

• Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000, 10% bonus and 7.5% Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)
• Comprehensive benefit package; Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
