Bryant University is accepting applications for a Sports Performance Graduate Assistant. This is a two-year position with an expected start date of July 2025. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 25 varsity sports, and is a member of the America East and CAA (Football).

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement training programs for designated athletic teams.
  2. Assist in the implementation of the training programs for other teams as assigned.
  3. Assist the Sports Performance staff with the day-to-day operations of the weight room.
  4. Communicate with Head Coaches about the training program for their teams. Advise coaches on pre-game and pre-practice protocols as well as post activity needs.
  5. Conduct performance testing of assigned athletes. Keep accurate and up-to-date records.
  6. Communicate with athletic training staff regarding athletes’ health and limitations.
  7. Adhere to NCAA rules and be fully informed regarding institutional compliance with the NCAA, America East, and CAA rules.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

The compensation for this position includes a full tuition waiver, housing, and a $1,500 stipend per semester starting August 1, 2025. Graduate School is a 2-year part-time program beginning August 2025 through August 2027. This position will also have the opportunity to learn under a MSCC and gain the 640 practicum/internship hours under a CSCCa approved mentor that is required for the SCCC exam.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field.
  2. SCCC or CSCS certification, and a CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
  3. Final candidates are subject to acceptance into graduate school before hire date - Bryant University Graduate Program (Two Year MBA program).
