SUMMARY
CTI Recycling, Inc. (CTI) is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our recycling division. This individual will be knowledgeable with general repairs, hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting, and capable of performing a variety of skilled duties which may involve inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment. Our equipment ranges from skid-loaders to excavators/front-end loaders to crushing equipment. This mechanic will possess excellent communication skills and always represent the company in a friendly and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance and skilled repairs on equipment, including, but not limited to backhoes, skid loaders, excavators, front-end loaders, and crushers in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Proficiently operate heavy equipment when primary maintenance duties have been completed.
- Process all daily record-keeping and other respective administrative duties in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and using excellent safety practices while visiting job sites, per CTI policies and OSHA, Federal, and State laws and regulations.
- Work with team, clients/owners, and inspectors in a professional and friendly manner and relay a positive attitude toward coworkers, vendors, and clients.
- Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, and streamline work processes. Be proactive with maintenance and repairs. Troubleshoot and minimize equipment downtime.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years heavy equipment maintenance experience required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required, plus two years technical school preferred.
- Class B CDL w/Air Brakes endorsement, preferred.
- Insurable Motor Vehicle Record.
- Able to diagnose, repair, and adjust hydraulic components on heavy equipment.
- Welding and electrical knowledge associated with heavy equipment.
- Able to maintain a high level of work quality.
- Excellent time management skills. Work well under time constraints and respond positively to change.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Professional, friendly, possesses a positive attitude, self-motivated, and proactive.
