Azure Cloud Architect (Azure & CI/CD)

Job Title: Azure Cloud Architect Location: [Chicago IL, 3 Days Hybrid ] Duration: 12+ Months Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect with a strong background in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will lead cloud strategy, build scalable architectures, and ensure seamless DevOps practices for modern applications. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement Azure cloud architecture with a focus on security, scalability, and performance. Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins. Automate deployment processes and enable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform/Bicep/ARM Templates. Implement containerization strategies using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS). Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to enhance cloud automation and observability. Ensure best practices for cloud governance, security, and compliance (Azure Policy, RBAC, Sentinel). Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and pipeline issues, optimizing build and release processes. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Architecture & DevOps. Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar). Strong knowledge of Azure services (App Services, Functions, AKS, Storage, Networking). Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Helm. Knowledge of security best practices, monitoring, and logging (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics). Experience with scripting & automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python). Understanding of Git workflows and branching strategies. Preferred Qualifications: Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-400, or equivalent). Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP). Knowledge of serverless computing and microservices architecture.
