Position: Certifications Engagement Specialist

Reports To: Senior Director, Professional Certifications

Location: Washington, DC/Hybrid

The American Bankers Association (ABA), the organization representing banking institutions of all asset sizes and charter types, is seeking a Certifications Engagement Specialist to coordinate outreach and engagement campaigns to foster meaningful connections with certified banking professionals and prospects.

As the Certifications Engagement Specialist, you will be pivotal in supporting the Continuing Education (CE) and Exams functions within the Certifications department, while implementing communication and outreach initiatives. You will ensure customer data integrity, enhance certification-holder retention, and promote certification programs effectively. You will also manage inquiries from exam candidates and certification holders and escalate to other team members as needed. This position exercises independent judgment in the planning, prioritization, and organization of a diversified workload and recommends process improvements as needed. This position reports to the Senior Director of Professional Certifications.

Qualified candidates offer:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business management, or psychology
  2. Minimum of one year of experience supporting certifications, training, education, or related fields
  3. Experience working directly with customers/external stakeholders
  4. Proven computer skills and database aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, customer relationship management databases, and learning management systems
  5. Proficiency with email marketing platforms, social media channels, analytics dashboards, and learning management systems

Salary range: $77,000 – $83,000
