POSITION:
Secretary - Building Taylor School

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, management, or related field preferred

- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in an office setting

JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Answer/Transfer phone/faxes

- Greet people into building

- Staff Meeting Support (e.g. tables, food, attendance, minutes)

- Route Mail delivery within building

- Confirmation of room request using Google Calendar

- Secretarial Support for Principals and Char-Em Classroom staff

- Monitor inventory and order office supplies

- Enter student enrollment, information, support IEPs in applicable systems for Char-Em ISD Special Education Classrooms

- Assemble, prepare, and mail new student pupil accounting packets

- Update student Information Pages in PowerSchool SIS as often as daily (med changes, transportation changes, contact info, etc.) and distribute to Transportation Dept, driver, parent & teacher

- Assemble/maintain CA-60 files including maintaining a log of outgoing files and requested records

- Monitor student attendance in PowerSchool SIS - report all absence reasons to principals daily

- Provide weekly student attendance reports to Principals

- Prepare and mail applicable letters in regards to student attendance at direction of principal

- Prepare, distribute, collect attendance audit reports

- Review staff attendance in Red Rover & verify subs, notify principal of unpaid leave entered weekly

- Monitor, update class lists, LEA by Student spreadsheet, Handle with Care lists

- Mail suspension letters as needed and log information in PowerSchool

- Prepare Days & Clock hour Reports to Revver for Special Education classrooms including ECSE

- Complete Section 25E requests and submit to Revver for all applicable students between fall and spring counts

- Schedule school photo day, forms, distribution

- Support ECSE students

- File accident and unusual incident reports and forward to HR as needed

- Communicable disease tracking and report weekly to Health Department

- Immunization tracking for students and enter into MCIR, report to Health Department as needed

- Assist principal with emergency drills for Taylor building

- Coordinate school vehicle scheduling

- Purchase Food (general supplies - e.g. E Nicols)

- Coordinate Petoskey Food Service lunches- liason between staff & kitchen, food service director

- Forward IEP invitations to LEA & log receipt on spreadsheet. Forward student info page ahead of IEP for parent review / then update in SIS, copy & distribute

- Prepare summer calendars, class/lunch rosters, parent letters, medical forms for Summer School/ESY

- Track Summer School/ESY student lunches for invoicing/bill collection

- All other duties as requested or assigned

COMPENSATION:

Per hour commensurate with experience, Support Staff Rate Scale.
