Base pay range
$60,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

We are seeking an HR Compliance Specialist to ensure our HR policies, procedures, and employee practices align with federal, state, and local employment laws and industry standards.
Job Summary
As an HR Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations. You will play a key role in ensuring HR best practices, maintaining accurate records, conducting audits, and providing training to employees and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure company policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, OSHA standards, and EEOC guidelines.
- Policy Development & Implementation: Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices.
- Audits & Investigations: Conduct regular HR audits, monitor employee records, and investigate compliance-related concerns, such as workplace safety, harassment, and discrimination claims.
- Employee Relations & Support: Assist in resolving employee concerns related to HR policies, benefits, and compliance matters. Provide guidance to management on disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Training & Education: Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees and managers on workplace policies, ethics, and legal obligations.
- Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate HR documentation, including employee files, I-9 forms, and compliance reports. Ensure all required filings are completed on time.
- Risk Management: Identify potential HR compliance risks and recommend proactive measures to mitigate them.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in HR compliance, labor law, or HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience conducting audits and investigations related to HR compliance.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.
