We are looking for an energetic and personable cashier to join our team at Zaxby’s. As a cashier, you will play a key role in delivering a great dining experience by ensuring prompt, friendly, and accurate service to our guests.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Assemble and package menu items to company standards
  2. Extend a warm and friendly greeting to all guests.
  3. Explain menu and answer product questions for all guests.
  4. Enter guests orders accurately into the POS system.
  5. Accept payments from guests and make change correctly.
  6. Operate the cash register and be responsible for cash receipts.
  7. Present orders to guests, properly packaged and with all necessary accompaniments and utensils.
  8. Generate additional sales by suggesting additional menu items to the guests.
  9. Verify register at the beginning of the shift.
  10. Stock adequate supplies of paper goods, condiments, beverages, etc. for serving the guests.
  11. Prep drinks and assist in prepping items such as sauces, salads, and produce.
  12. Clean all guest areas.
  13. Inform management when any front-of-house equipment needs service or inventory is needed.
  14. Remove trash from waste receptacles.
  15. Answer telephone and take orders over the telephone.

Capabilities Requirement:

  1. Work 9-28 hours per week (Part-Time)
  2. Must be 16 or older
  3. Sit, stand, and walk continuously
  4. Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of ladders
  5. Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
  6. Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
  7. Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing
  8. Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgment to observe and respond to the environment
  9. Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
  10. Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment including, but not limited to, knives, fryers, and potentially hazardous equipment.
