Forklift Operator Job at Compunnel Inc. in High Point

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our paint manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts efficiently, following safety guidelines, and ensuring accurate handling of materials. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical agents.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior manufacturing experience (paint manufacturing experience preferred)
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions & guidelines
• Ability to pass a forklift test and obtain forklift certification
• Proficiency in forklift operation, following all safety procedures
• Ability to read and apply accurate labels
• Ability to measure and weigh materials accurately
• Physical ability to lift and handle containers up to 75 lbs
• Maneuver drums up to 600 lbs
• Climb stairs wearing steel-toed footwear
• Work in hot/cold environments & inclement weather
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work efficiently
• Commitment to safety leadership in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Near vision capability to read labels and see details up close
• Arm-hand steadiness for precise material handling
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods
